The Chai Cabin, famous for viral ‘kunafa strawberries’, moves to new location

Viral Farnworth dessert business The Chai Cabin is moving to a new location.

The converted shipping container originally opened on a small car park in Albert Road, Farnworth, back in 2022 and has become incredibly popular in recent months after videos of their ‘kunafa Dubai strawberries’ racked up millions of views on social media apps such as TikTok and Instagram.

It has been closed since mid-April and a social media post shared by the business on 13th April read: “Please be informed that we will be temporarily closed for maintenance until further notice. This is to ensure we continue providing you with the best possible experience and service.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.”

Due to its increased popularity, The Chai Cabin has now moved to a larger car park – at O’Neill’s Decorating Centre, in Egerton Street.

As the takeaway only operates from 5pm onwards, it is not set to cause any issues with customers parking at the shop, which closes at 4pm.

Teasing the move earlier this week, The Chai Cabin posted on social media: “After so much customer demand we have decided to move to a bigger and better car park down the road with over 40 car parking spaces.”

No official reopening date has been confirmed yet, but judging by the comments, regular customers are eagerly awaiting the return of their favourite Middle Eastern-inspired desserts.

Have you been to The Chai Cabin and do you think it’s worth the viral hype? Let me know in the comments.
